Big Brother 28 Spoilers: The Mosh Pit Fell Apart Before It Ever Voted

Big Brother 28 Mosh Pit alliance falling apart shown by a circle of seven wooden chairs with two turned away, breaking the ring
Seven chairs, two already turned away.

Spoiler alert. This post covers Big Brother 28 live feed activity from Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night, August 18. None of it has aired. Episode 21 airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET and it will not show you any of this.

The Mosh Pit was two days old. On Tuesday afternoon two of its seven members quietly quit it in separate rooms, and by the time the feeds went quiet the biggest alliance in the house existed mostly on paper.

Where Week 6 Stands Going Into Thursday

Yash Patel is Head of Household. After Rick Devens used the Diamond Power of Veto on Monday to pull Dee Valladares down and name Kamu Kirk in her place, the block is Kamu, Angela Murray and Haley Thogmartin. We laid out the Monday night vote math in the Week 6 overnight spoilers.

All three play the BB Block Buster on Thursday. The winner comes off the block and the other two face the vote. That much is settled. Almost nothing else is.

Mallory Took the Mosh Pit Apart in About an Hour

The seven person alliance of Devens, Dee, Angela, Barrett Pfeiffer, Drew Campbell, Melody Morris and Mallory Aurichio formed Sunday night. On Tuesday afternoon Mallory moved through the house saying a version of the same thing in different rooms, and the cleanest version of it was this: she was never planning on being loyal to the Mosh Pit.

Melody said the quiet part louder. If she were Head of Household, in her words, f**k the Mosh Pit. Neither of them has told the other five.

Melody Is Done With Drew and Said So Repeatedly

The crack that opened Monday became a real break Tuesday. Melody’s complaint is specific and it is not petty. Drew had a week one alliance with the returning Icons and never mentioned it to her. Not one time, as she put it, and she is now questioning whether she is actually his number one.

She extended the same audit to Barrett, saying she loves him and trusts him but he is doing too much and carries alliance conversations out of the room. Then at 11:16 at night, in the last feed update of the day, she cam talked that she trusts Yash more than she trusts Drew, and mentioned a dream in which she nominated Drew. That is not a spat. That is a realignment forming in real time.

Yash Spent the Night Saying Angela Out Loud

Here is the thing nobody covering this week seems to want to sit with. Yash is not clearly on board with evicting Kamu.

Yes, he drifted that direction at midday after talking to Mallory. But at 8:24 he told Melody he wants Angela eliminated, and at 8:53 he insisted Angela has to leave this week with other targets after her. He and Melody also spent 8:55 complaining that Drew and Barrett spend too much time with the Icons, which is a strange conversation to have with someone who is in an alliance with both of them.

Barrett told Mallory at 7:52 that they have fed Yash enough information to keep him from being blindsided. Read that again. The alliance is managing the Head of Household’s expectations rather than including him.

Kamu Burned Dee’s Bribe and Got Nothing

Kamu campaigned hard Tuesday, mostly at Mallory, and his big offering was intelligence: Dee is holding the BB Bribe, and she probably paid Devens to use the Diamond Veto on her.

The first half is true. The second half is a cover story Dee and Devens planted, and Kamu spent his credibility spreading it. Mallory listened to extended monologues and offered almost nothing back. By late afternoon she and Melody had privately settled on him and agreed to keep him comfortable while they did it.

The LaTrice and Angela Blowup That Was Not Really a Fight

The loudest part of the night was not strategy. Angela heard that LaTrice Verrett would rather keep Kamu than her, and it cascaded. LaTrice checked Taylor Brown for talking strategy near Angela at 6:49, asking why she was stressing that lady out. By 8:22 both women were in the bathroom in tears, Angela saying she is on the block and feeling hurt, LaTrice answering that she is always the bad guy.

Angela and Taylor patched it up by 10:09. It was a night of hurt feelings rather than gameplay, which is its own kind of information about where this cast is at Day 44.

Devens Leaked His Own Alliance and Nobody Noticed

At 2:06 in the afternoon Devens told Drew about the Bermuda Triangle, the alliance he has had with Kamu and Yash since the second day of the season. He is the man who put Kamu on the block with the Diamond, and he handed the secret to a Mosh Pit ally on the way out.

It went nowhere. No follow up, no spread, no sign that Kamu or Yash know. Devens spent the rest of the day running a mock investigation into who bit his hot dog, which turned out to be Barrett, who then celebrated getting away with it in the HOH room while Devens listened from outside the door. He is playing a different game than everyone else and it is not always clear it is a better one.

The Vote Is Genuinely Unsettled

Anyone giving you a firm count today is guessing. Mallory, Melody and Barrett are privately locked on Kamu. Devens and Dee want him gone. That is a working majority on paper.

Against that: Taylor said at 5:31 she would rather Haley go this week and keep Angela. LaTrice would reportedly rather keep Kamu than Angela. Yash was still arguing for Angela at nine at night. And the alliance holding the majority has two members who have privately renounced it. Kamu needs five votes and the path is not impossible, it is just invisible to him.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is on the block in Big Brother 28 Week 6?

Kamu Kirk, Angela Murray and Haley Thogmartin, after Devens used the Diamond Power of Veto Monday to remove Dee Valladares and name Kamu.

Is Kamu still the target for Thursday?

He is the plan, but not a lock. Mallory, Melody and Barrett are committed. Taylor prefers Haley go, LaTrice leans toward keeping Kamu, and Yash kept pushing Angela on Tuesday night.

What happened to the Mosh Pit alliance?

Mallory and Melody both privately renounced it Tuesday, within about an hour of each other, in separate conversations. The other five members do not know.

Did Dee use her BB Bribe?

She offered Yash five thousand dollars to keep her and Angela safe before nominations and he turned it down. She still has it.

Does Yash know he is being managed?

No. Barrett told Mallory they have given him just enough information to avoid a blindside, and no one has given him an honest vote count.

When does the Week 6 veto ceremony air?

Wednesday, August 19, in the ninety minute Episode 21, along with the OTEV veto competition.
