SPOILER ALERT. This post covers Big Brother 28 live feed activity from Friday, August 21 that has not aired on CBS. The Week 7 nominations and the final BB Time Capsule result do not reach the broadcast audience until Sunday, so stop reading here if you only watch the episodes.
Two things landed Friday. America’s final Time Capsule vote closed at 9am PT and produced a winner, and Dee Valladares put three people on the block after a deal that flipped her target in the space of an afternoon.
Drew Campbell Won the Final Time Capsule Round
Drew Campbell took Round 6, the sixth and final round of the twist, after America’s vote closed Friday morning. Big Brother Network reported he pulled close to half of all votes cast, which tracks with the fan polling that had him ahead by a wide margin all week.
He entered the sealed room, played the solo challenge, and won it. That challenge decides whether a houseguest walks away with a power or a punishment, and Drew landed a prize.
What the Never Not Pass Actually Gives Him
Drew’s prize is the Never Not Pass, which exempts the holder from Have Not status. Most outlets covering it describe the exemption as running through the remainder of the season, though one write up framed it as a single week, so treat the duration as reported rather than confirmed.
It is a comfort perk more than a game power. It does not touch nominations, it does not affect the veto, and it cannot pull anyone off the block. Drew told Barrett Pfeiffer and Rick Devens about it and is keeping it from everyone else, planning to produce it if the house tries to make him a Have Not next week.
The Full Time Capsule Ledger, Round by Round
With the twist finished, the complete run reads as three powers and three punishments. Angela Murray drew the Hard Boiled Detective costume in Round 1. Rick Devens won the Diamond Power of Veto in Round 2. Dee Valladares won the $5,000 BB Bribe in Round 3.
The back half went the other way. Mallory Aurichio pulled Adam and Eve in Round 4, which tethered her to Melody Morris for 48 hours. Melody then drew Lord of the Latrine in Round 5. Drew closes it out with the only clean prize of the second half.
Yash Bought His Safety With Dee’s Bribe
The bigger strategic development Friday was Dee cashing in her Time Capsule prize. She offered Yash Patel the $5,000 BB Bribe in exchange for safety, and this time he took it. She had floated a version of the same offer to him earlier in the season and he turned it down.
That single move reshaped the week. Dee spent Thursday night talking about backdooring Yash while Devens pushed her to nominate him outright. Once Yash accepted the money, her target moved off him and onto Drew, which is not where anyone expected this to land 24 hours ago.
It also means the season’s most talked about unspent advantage is now spent. For the run up to this, our Week 7 HOH overnight spoiler coverage has the full picture of where Dee’s head was before the deal.
Dee Nominated Drew, LaTrice and Taylor
The ceremony wrapped Friday evening after about two hours of feed downtime. Dee put up Drew Campbell, LaTrice Verrett and Taylor Brown. Drew is the target.
Yash did not only buy his own safety. He talked Dee into believing Drew had been working against her, which is how a member of her own alliance ended up in the target seat instead of the person she spent Thursday planning to move on.
Drew knew before the ceremony. He went up to the HOH room in the early afternoon and confronted Dee directly, and the feeds never showed who tipped him off. He went on the block anyway, then walked out of the ceremony celebrating with Dee, Angela Murray and Barrett Pfeiffer after airing some grievances in his nomination speech. Dee told him she loved him and praised him for finally speaking up.
The Mosh Pit Is Coming Apart
The seven person Mosh Pit, formed on August 16 as a merger of the Crossovers and FAP, did its job by getting Kamu Kirk out and is now falling apart on schedule. Mallory exposed it on August 20, and both she and Melody have since described it as not real.
That fracture is already showing. Mallory told Melody on Friday she is leaning toward working with Taylor and Yash instead, and the two of them spent the evening confronting Drew about talking too much rather than protecting him.
What Mallory and Melody are actually loyal to is FAP, the four person group with Drew and Barrett Pfeiffer. That matters this week, because if Drew is on the block, two of the people Dee is counting on to vote with her have a prior commitment to him.
The Alliance Map Underneath It
Below the Mosh Pit sit three more working groups. The Crossovers are Dee, Devens, Angela, Drew and Barrett. The Dapper Dans are Devens, Yash, Barrett and Drew. The Honor Society is Dee, Angela, Taylor and LaTrice.
The duo layer matters more. Dee and Barrett reaffirmed a final two in the HOH room Friday, and Devens has started telling Barrett that Dee is into him.
What Is Coming This Week
The veto is Saturday, the veto ceremony Monday, the live eviction Thursday. That Thursday show is Big Brother’s 1,000th episode, and CBS has teased a new twist attached to it.
Eleven houseguests remain: Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Dee, Drew, Haley Thogmartin, LaTrice, Mallory Aurichio, Melody Morris, Rick Devens, Taylor and Yash. Taylor and LaTrice are this week’s Have Nots.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who won the final BB Time Capsule?
Drew Campbell won Round 6, the last round of the twist, after America’s vote closed Friday, August 21 at 9am PT. He won the solo challenge and received a prize rather than a punishment.
What is the Never Not Pass?
It exempts the holder from Have Not status. Most coverage describes it as lasting the rest of the season, though at least one outlet framed it as a one week exemption. It has no effect on nominations or the veto.
Who are the Week 7 nominees?
Dee Valladares nominated Drew Campbell, LaTrice Verrett and Taylor Brown on Friday, August 21. Drew is the target, and he learned he was going up before the ceremony and confronted Dee about it.
Did Dee use her BB Bribe?
Yes. She paid Yash Patel the $5,000 for safety covering herself, Rick Devens and Angela Murray, and he accepted after declining a similar offer earlier in the season.
Why is the Mosh Pit falling apart?
It was built to evict Kamu and had no purpose after that. Mallory exposed it on August 20, and both she and Melody have since said their real alliance is FAP with Drew and Barrett.
When does this reach the broadcast?
The Time Capsule result is expected on the Sunday episode. The nomination ceremony and everything that follows will play out across the Sunday and Wednesday shows and the Thursday live eviction.
