Angela Lasted Twenty Eight Seconds
Wall competitions almost always produce one embarrassing early exit. This one produced a number that is going to follow Angela around for the rest of the season. She dropped after twenty eight seconds. Not twenty eight minutes. Twenty eight seconds, which is barely enough time to find a comfortable position on the platform.
After that it settled into a grind. Taylor fell just past thirty four minutes, Barrett at forty six, Devens at forty nine and Dee at fifty four. Melody dropped past the hour mark, Mallory at one hour thirteen and Yash three minutes behind her.
The Final Three Turned Into A Negotiation
Drew Campbell, Kamu and LaTrice Verrett all hung on well past the point where the wall stops testing grip and starts testing stubbornness. Drew held out until one hour twenty three, and by the end he was effectively suspending his entire body weight from his arms.
Then it became a two person standoff, and the standoff turned into a negotiation. Lala asked Kamu to promise he would not nominate her if he took it, which is usually the moment somebody quietly gives up. Kamu is a former MMA fighter and the most physically credible player in the house by a wide margin. Another win for him would have meant another week of the same small group deciding who walks out the door. Instead the power landed with the one person that group had spent four weeks treating as furniture.
Mallory Won The Vote And Lost The Prize
The BB Time Capsule twist keeps functioning exactly as designed. This round the vote landed on Mallory Aurichio, who then had to gamble between a power and a punishment. She got the punishment.
Big Brother reached back to season 16 for the Adam and Eve penalty, which tethers two houseguests together and puts them in fig leaves for the duration. Mallory had to choose her partner and she chose Melody. The sell was that putting Chuk Anyanwu and Haley up together would be a legendary move for a first time HOH, and he supported it with a claim that Chuk had already said he would nominate Lala if he ever won. Whether that claim is true matters far less than the fact that it arrived at precisely the right moment.

Lala walked into the nomination ceremony and threw out the idea of a replacement plan entirely. She said she wanted the big dogs on the block from the start, and then she went and did it. Barrett, Haley and Chuk. She closed the ceremony with a two word send off, “game on,” and left it at that.
In the diary room she laid out the real math. Barrett is a pawn. Haley is the target.
